Bad schools with no brand recognition change their logo (Tulane, Iowa State) to try and create a brand. The PowerCat is a brand that is recognized, it may not be the most recognized, but changing it will ruin any brand recognition and start from scratch again.

NOT QUITE RIGHT. Created by a sophomore at KSU and promptly stolen by Bill. Also, he gets five percent of powercat franchise fees to this and and after he leaves as coach. BTY, he also has signed agreement with KSU to be an advisor for 1/4 mil per year after he steps down.

This sounds like a comment by a ku fan. The hawks are envious of the success we've had with our Powercat. No K-Stater with a lick of sense would make such a proposal or harbor such thoughts. EMAW!!!

I saw this on the other form, but the discussion had been locked. My first question would be why? As someone alluded to in this thread and the other, teams that have to change their logo every so often are attempting to find one that fits.

If the reason for the change is because the logo/brand has become stale, what does that have to do with the program? Consider all of the blue blood programs Bama, OU, ND, USC, Auburn, LSU Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, Clemson..... Changing a logo that has become such an icon would be nonsense.

In saying that, I would not be opposed to creating an alternate uniform to break up the monotonous Dallas Cowboy look by going with a purple helmet and white powercat logo and maybe a single white stripe (or none) down the middle. For those who are unaware, K-State is one of a few schools that have a single school color (Royal Purple).
