I read that thread. There is one poster over there, let's call him WackyHawk, who just won't shut up about how big of a shithole Memphis is, how unsafe it is (crime!), etc. Everyone is like, "We get it dude, you don't want to go to Memphis." And yet he just keeps going and going and going ...

I hope that’s not true bc that would be really sad

They're such a weird bunch. They hate Mizzou so much they'd rather not play them.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Any of my fellow Knights want to take up a collection so that we can send Wacky to the Sugar Bowl?

Spracs trying to send this thread to the pit is not shocking news. He lives in Austin, TX, the second most woke City in the world/whitest. So how dare you call Memphis a crap hole! HOW DARE YOU! It’s perfectly fine from my new tech headquarters that I won’t visit any time soon!- @Spracne

They're such a weird bunch. They hate Mizzou so much they'd rather not play them.

Yeah, reading through their threads it's amazing how much they hate them.

Though I also enjoy how much they hate us yet don't consider us their rival

It's pretty clear that Mizzou is KU's historic rival, but they left, so KSU stepped into the primary spot. But it's still not pure hatred as with Mizzou.

What I find appalling are the KU fans who don't want to play Mizzou because "what if we lose?"

I have no problem playing Mizzou, in football or basketball. It would be fun for me, and if we lose, it's not the end of the world. Some fans take this stuff way too seriously/personally.

I read through part of the phog game thread last night. There were a good 5-6 pages of posts solely dedicated to the muffed punt.

I reminded myself about the huge rivalry with MethU by looking at the KUFB media guide.

2 maybe 3 sell out football games on campus over the course of several decades between the two schools.  Then the one really big crowd at Arrowhead.

I guess it was a middling management rivalry fought in cubicles and break rooms around Kansas City.

There are also at least a couple of pages dedicated to being pissed off about their return man deciding to run a kickoff out of the end zone and getting tackled inside the 10 yard line. Like it's his fault the return team has him dodging tackles within 1 second of fielding the kick.

I enjoyed how many phoggers think if ku would have scored first that the howitzer would have "crumbled"

It didn’t workout. The first time the ball touched Jalon Daniels hand, he was already down 7, despite his team winning the coin toss. Imagine if the Hawks go up 7-0… Howard crumbles IMO.

There was also a post talking about how you can tell Sir Lance has already closed the talent gap significantly. Not all the way but that it’s near even already.

It’s funny cuz they’ve said the same crap for every coach since Gill.

“It worked out exactly how we wanted, except it didn’t…”

Kansas has done exactly ONE thing well this season, and it’s score points.

If we get any lead at all in that game, that crowd goes silent and Howard crumbles.

I understand the stealing an extra possession etc. but it was over the moment K-State scored first. This defense is absolutely ******** horrendous, and I’m shocked that a poster like you doesn’t understand the dynamic in the first few mins of a game like that.

It's an interesting thought really, has the howitzer ever not had the lead this season?

Hard not to have the lead when you score nearly every drive in the first half.

On offense I’d say the statement is true.  They have a long way to go on defense.

It would be awful for the fans, but rain would probably hurt the cats less than it would hurt KU wouldn't?

Depends on if the ku equipment manager remembers to pack the right cleats

It takes such a long time and I was having too much fun just reading everything on Saturday night.  Yesterday had other crap going on.

I did see a really weird post on the Slant where some EMAJ’r took a picture inside the men’s bathroom of the row of urinals and put emojis over the (ostensibly strangers’) exposed, urinating deals.  Don’t really know what to make of that.

Outside of 7 or 8 plays, KU wins in a laugher.

it was incredibly bizarre.  just a selfie of himself lined up at the urinal, with others also at the urinal, and emojis over faces and dicks.
