I understand wanting to avoid the conveyor.  I truly do. You and your 1 bag that takes up very little space = no biggie. I don't mind the seasoned biz traveler and their well packed case.

the seasoned biz travelers are often the worst offenders.  especially when they fill the bin w/ laptop bags and overcoats.

It's, 100% of the time, Mom and Pop Western Nebraska with their diaper bag, kids toy bag, personal backpack for each child, and their personal dvd player POS that they play, not with headphones, but out loud so everyone can hear it because their shitting kid can't wear headphones.  The same people that hold up the security line and same people that hold up everyone exiting the plane so they can unstrap their monster fracking kid buggy.

agree w/ everything, but you need to invest in some headphones.

Yeah, I need some better ones.  But, I will still be infuriated knowing it's going on.

I have these, which are possibly the exact same thing under a different brand name.

I want a good set of over-the-ears.  I've almost pulled the trigger about 10 times.

I don't think over-ears would be much better for travel unless you got into like the $200 range or so.  waste of money at that point.  still use 'em.

i love the fact that there are people here blaming the travelers for the airlines not enforcing their own rules.

It's perfectly reasonable to blame both.  You can completely follow the airlines' rules and still be a complete douchebag.
no, it's not perfectly  reasonable to blame both.  the airlines know how much room they have on their planes and the rejects at the gates need to stop you from bringing on more than it can handle.  suck it.

The Southwest flight I just got back from  (between Houston and Dallas) smelled like piss.  Thick syrupy warm piss.

:frown:

Sounds like a great flight. Glad you had fun.

is there anything more elite feeling then strolling off the plan, bag on your shoulder and walking directly out to a waiting cab without even so much as farting near the people waiting for their crap checked bags?

(LAX is the best for this, I'm a huge LAX fan).  i can literally be off the plane and in a cab line within 2 minutes and driving up the PCH.  feels so damned elite.

yeah, I can't really agree more than I am agreeing right now at this very moment

Wonderful experience.  You don't even need a driver's license.

If you fly into OKC, you don't even need a hotel either.  They house you for free.

I get the best sleep of my life on airplanes, regardless of what is going on.  Something about the movement of the plane, the sound of the engines and the little twist-knob that you can turn to get air blown on your face just puts me to sleep nearly immediately.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Usually do just this, but scratch the cab for a [insert rental car company name] bus.  :embarrassed:

What did you expect? Houston is the armpit of The Republic of Texas.  Hate going to that dump. Would rather spend a weeend dodging AK-47 fire in El Paso
