No offense to people who suck at flying (and thus, at life) but anyone who checks a bag for anything less than a 2 week trip shouldn't be discussing flying, airports or travel in general.
Sorry to ice your post here bro, but I often end up going north to Wisconsin for a week or a 10-day stint in the dead of winter because of family obligations. Because of my elite tallness, the trip requires not only some t-shirts and boxers but some bulky-ass sweatshirts, sweaters, and jeans (and we're talking like 2-3 of each at the very least because I'm not wearing the same crap every day). Oh, and don't forget my winter coat that is the size of Rhode Island but warm as hell. I'm not taking that damn thing on the plane with me, and the coat alone won't fit into a carry-on.
Hate to say it steve, but you = LTTWSLTACIQ (low traveling to what seems like the Arctic Circle IQ). I totally agree with your point if you're going to some crappy-ass state like Texas or something
