If he would have shown no emotion after the leftists accused him of being a gang rapist (without evidence or corroboration) they would have said his uncaring demeanor is a tacit admission.

There was no way he could win. Frankly, I'm disgusted with all the people who continue to say he's a rapist, and who are completely glossing over the obvious and disgusting political game the Democrats played in orchestrating this outrageous clown show.

I hope they reap the whirlwind in November. Like Lindsey Graham said, they should never be given power.

Time definitely matters. That is what convinces me the initial offense was a stupid mistake they grew from and not a symptom of a more deeply seeded issue. I’d say probably a minimum of 10 years of full integration into society without any slip ups for the more heinous crimes.

Sure, you could probably find squeaky clean qualified candidates for any job. The question is, when deciding between two or more qualified candidates, what is the deciding factor? It sounds like if you were making the decisions it would be to choose the one with the cleanest background. We just disagree on that point. I’ve interviewed a decent number of people and can tell you that how someone behaved in high school or undergrad is pretty far down my list of things I care about.

Now I admit that can change based on the job, but I think it’s more fair to compare the Supreme Court to a results-driven business or firm than a nanny or other kind of caregiver (in which case I’d care a lot more about how they act vs how smart and hard working they are).

I don't think the supreme court should be compared to a results-driven business. They are going to get a result out of every case they hear, and whether that result is right or wrong has more to do with their character than anything else, really. If all you really care about is which party they side with, then the president should just be picking state-level party chairs to fill the positions.
