KState Defense called the Lynch Mob.
FYI - For the less educated, the K-State Defense's "LYNCH MOB" nickname derives from John R. Lynch, an African American who overcame the adversity of slavery to become a lawyer, military leader, and congressional representative. It is well known that Mr. Lynch was extremely EMAW and, as one of his first acts as a free man following the Emancipation Proclamation, insisted on being in Manhattan for the founding of KSU in 1863. When trying to think of a nickname to capture their tough-as-nails attitude and indomitable spirit, the KSU cats defense could think of no one better than Mr. Lynch to be their namesake.
P.S. I didn't actually know this until now, but it looks like Mr. Lynch actually spent some time in Mississippi but left after they systematically disenfranchised black voters.
