I guess when your main concern is candidates being pro-peace, not constantly occupying other countries, letting Americans live their lives on their own accord, and protecting the right to privacy and freedom of speech, you aren’t left with many options.
Edit: and also think identity politics are generally divisive and bad.
You sound like Rand Paul
More like Ron Paul IMO.

I was a huge Ron Paul guy back in the day (yes, he is fringe). Never liked Rand tbh. Seems untrustworthy.
I’ve was very apathetic to all politics until 2008.
I though Obama seemed like a good guy and really liked his DNC speech. I really liked Ron Paul’s message (I’m pretty sure I’m a small l libertarian at heart but know it’s prob not realistic as a form of gov for a whole country).
I liked Kasich on the pub side in 2016, and Bernie on the dem side. And liked Tulsi and Bernie this time around.
SD is right (as we usual). other than Kasich, all my guys (abd gal) are at the margins. I know a lot of their politics are at odds with each other as well, aside from being seemingly pro peace. I do think that most of my faves are anti big business/pro small business in their own way. Tbh, I don’t know a ton about Kasich, but he seemed like a good dude in 2016.
Mostly, I just felt none of them were bullshitters at the time.
