So for those who don't know, she's referring to Pete's campaign saying that his being gay is a barrier for him with black voters in South Carolina. Guess what, he's 100% correct. Homophobia among black people, especially evangelicals is a huge problem. That's not to say that literally every time he has a chance to reach black voters, he fucks it up, royally. He is the absolutely the wrong candidate to bring this up.

I'd also point out that Maxwell supported HRC while she was carrying hot sauce in her bag while visiting black southern churches. Take that for what it's worth.

bad news is that MIR is correct. good news is that president pete doesn't really need the southern African American evangelical vote to get elected. also, how long before they start using president pete? I mean I just had to think of it myself out of nowhere.

That is not a small segment of voters. This is also a recipe for winning the nomination but losing the general. I only mentioned "southern" because his campaign did, but the percentage of blacks who are evangelicals is a larger percentage than whites who are evangelicals.

the last candidate to win the democratic nomination without winning the majority of black voters was dukakis.  more than thirty years ago.  the specific mechanism that enabled him to accomplish that was jackson's candidacy which captured a significant fraction of the black vote and almost none of the white vote.

It showed up on texags last week, dax has slightly tweaked it to fit his agenda. Texags thought this is why slurs pelosi would not bring an impeachment vote.

Basically, by law the senators would be required to attend the impeachment trial 6 days a week from like noon to 5 pm or something. They will still campaign at night, but it would probably be limited to a few hours flight distance. They also would likely be on tv every night talking about the trial.

I have no idea if it's actually true.
