If you don't get hung up on the mom part, I think it's a good example of how Bernie folks really aren't about playing well with others. To everyone's detriment.

the mom part's the only thing that could be considered objectionable. but I imagine she could have picked literally anyone else (maybe even a republican!) saying that covid testing and treatment should be free to get her point across.

Hey, I'm thinking of getting the same haircut (except with a much more virulent hairline but probably a poorly done back of the neck).

That's awesome great for the police. Maybe we can get her to speak out against putting people in jail for weed next.

i think you probably know she ran on a policy of legalizing marijuana.  she's also sponsored legislation to decriminalize it.

I actually didn't know that, good for her evolution on the topic, unfortunately a bit late for people she locked up when her opinion on the subject mattered the most.

i don't know which conversations you're referring to.  i posted that to illustrate that in my view sanders continuing to run at this point does more to expose his lack of support than anything else, and thus does not give biden any reason to move to the left.

Okay, because in this conversation on Biden needing to move left to have a shot to win, you keep showing polling data that has him beating Sanders, but you continue to ignore data that shows exit polls that indicate that he's right of the people voting in these primaries. I also posted an article that shows poll numbers that indicates the enthusiasm within his party is historically low and no where close to numbers that indicate he'll have the support to beat an incumbent. He has low enthusiasm because he has low energy and isn't presenting anything new. Bernie leaving the race won't fix that. Bernie staying in could present Biden with a chance to reach out to a large majority of democratic voters who seem to be lukewarm to him, at best. Yes, he's going to beat Bernie, so the eff what? Is there a plan for what happens next?

Frankly I truly don't care if he beats trump or not, but people who do care should probably stop worrying about Bernie and find some way to make people give a crap about Joe Biden. Hiding him away for three months isn't going to do the trick.

oh, yeah, not my intention to conflate those two lines of argumentation.  i don't think sanders dropping out now or not will have much, if any, effect on biden v trump.  also don't think biden moving left or not will have much, if any, effect on biden v trump.

You don’t care if he beats trump MIR? Because of better chance to take senate? Just dislike both equally? Just curious.

I think the chances of taking the Senate is slim to none, and I really don't think the governance is different enough to make the drastic changes we need. If the Democrats don't win the Senate they have no shot in getting any SC nominee through.

Not that it matters, especially in Kansas, but zero chance I push the button for Joe. I regret voting for Hillary.
