Because we don't get our way on everything we are a worse country - and we'll keep on saying that over and over again while living at the absolute pinnacle of first world problems (#blueanon and #blueanongE)Insert the pics of upper middle class and above predominately #blueanon white people smiling and joyful at the site of the illegal immigrants leaving Martha's Vineyard here
I agree gay marriage should be legal. I also think there’s a decent argument the Supreme Court overstepped in declaring it to be so.That said, even hardcore conservatives on SCOTUS have to believe that the juice of forcing the issue back on states isn’t worth the squeeze of appearing to be a partisan pendulum that swings based solely on the party in power.
The net neutrality stuff bothered me more than laws requiring age verification for adult content. I don’t really see that as a free speech issue.

I don’t really see that as a free speech issue.I've been seeing a lot of tweets about age verification in the UK and it seems to be a very slippery slope aimed at governments and large corporations having more control over the Internet and track users in general. Also given data leaks that every corporation has I would have reservations.

Of course I also understand it’s a lot harder to do online in a way that is both effective and secure, but we should be focusing on improving that process rather than act like moderating access is the problem.

Age verification for porn sites is good in and of itself.

Kids are going to see teh pr0n. They just are and there is no safe guard that will mitigate it in any meaningful way. (This is not a new development. It’s literally always been this way)
