Anybody else hug the closest person to you when Donovan knocked the game winner home? I know I did

I wasn't watching.  I forgot the game was on so early.  But when I heard about it and saw the replay I nodded my head in approval of the goal.

My mom ran out of the shower

After that game yesterday I truly can't wait until Saturday..

That game was soooo exciting.  :jerk::zzz::jerk:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

What, these losers have beaten us before? USA!? This doesn't make sense.  Maybe tied, MAYBE.

Not sure which thread this belonged in, but I am sitting in the front row of field reserve seats (all inclusive food/booze) at the Wizards game tomorrow night.  I have never been to a soccer game before, and am looking forward to not remembering this one.  : :gocho:  :drink:

Haven't been in those seats before, but I prefer the Cauldron.  They'll be the ones chanting/singing/waving flags/playing drums to your right, IIRC.  Either way though, you just get hammered and forget anything that happens (exactly like baseball).

Make sure you go crazy when we score goals...they don't happen often.  Also cuss out loud at New York. Buncha frackin pussies, they are. Beer showers tend to excite those around you, also.

On other Wizard related news, I guess KC has offered a DP contract to Iceland's Gudjohnsen. Here's the message board post fm a Wizards owner on Big Soccer.

I like this guy. Crappy nat'l team, but he's a damn fine club player. Hope he signs... :crossfingers:

Let's grade my world cup bets!

Group B & G-  BOTH HIT as they tied for highest scoring groups

Spain finished top of their group (not sure if I shared that one on podcast)

Italy did not hit as top of their group

I'm loving the random zoomed in shots of players 15 minutes after the fact. Really sets the mood.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.
