What happened?  New target?!?

the first guy hit the target perfectly, but knocked it over, so then when the second guy shot the rebound he missed.

omg.  fuckchuckle

with all possible scenarios we are likely thru w/ a win over Algeria.  especially if we win by more than 1 goal.

biggest disappointment is no chance to finish top of group and enjoy dream scenario of playing crap teams until semifinal.

Germany wins this afternoon ->

a 4 team mini bracket of Germany, Argentina, England & Mexico

a 4 team mini bracket of Uruguay, S Korea, USA & Serbia/Ghana

let's delay the denazification and root for them this afternoon

Attention soccer nerds,

I don't have time to read your nerd thread to see if this has been posted, but can you suggest good place on the interwebs to watch this ball game this morning?

It's on Sprint TV.  You have Sprint iirc :dunno:

3g or 4g?  decent quality?

I'm in Omaha so 3g.  Would also work over wifi I think if you can get it.  Quality isn't great.  It isn't bad, but it's not like watching an HD feed.  About like espn360 games.

are you on verizon?
sprint loves soccer and shows it.  you love soccer.
verizon hates soccer and doesn't show it on their phones.  really weird part?  vodaphone owns more of verizon than verizon does.

So, who do we want to win this afternoon?

I'm afraid of playing Germany next round.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Agreed. I'd prefer Gomez personally over Buddle for his speed, but Buddle has the size that could be advantagous. Either way we'll need to come out blazin' tomorrow and get a definitive W.

+1.

The slow starts games are getting rather old.

So, sounds like we play this Ghana team who apparently is missing their best player.  Pretty good news for my man USA right!?

i've never gotten the dive argument against soccer. its just like stepping in and trying to take a charge in basketball. or intentionally taking a foul on the way to the basket. all tactical. sometimes ridiculous, but all tactical.

It's really not like that at all.  These guys get tapped in the arm and fall down and hold their face like Mike Tyson just sucker punched them.  It's really nothing like taking a foul/charge.  It's more like Paul Peirce flopping around the court if you want to compare it to basketball.  I get it, acting in soccer is part of the game.  But it's a stupid part of the game.  A part of the game that makes me hate the rest of the game.

I wasn't watching.  I forgot the game was on so early.  But when I heard about it and saw the replay I nodded my head in approval of the goal.
