Anyone else watching the USA U-20 match against France right now?

The French team has Paul Pogba, Samuel Umtiti, and Alphonse Areola. Would be amazing to beat them.

Still scoreless in the 26'. France has come very close two or three times. USA looks decent.

after that Spain game I am a little weary of taking work time to watch that team.

Their group is hard as eff. :dunno:

They are a pretty good team. Probably won't make it to the next round though.

Managed to get a late goal, drew 1-1. Didn't look good though. Going to need to beat Ghana to qualify, but at least we got a point.

Considering the competition, I disagree. We clearly were outplayed, but a draw was fair.

If Landon can't make it onto our B-team, something would be seriously wrong. Either way, I hope he takes this opportunity and runs with it.

Interesting that Gooch is back in the mix.

Also, Mix Diskerud is on the roster. That's also interesting considering he was flirting with the idea of switching to Norway. No Bocanegra. We might have seen the last of him. The player on the roster I'm most excited for is Jack McInerney. Turns 21 in August and he is leading MLS in goals with 10 in 16 games. I'm also excited for Will Bruin. Both have potential to be Jozy's future partner.

http://www.ussoccer.com/News/Mens-National-Team/2013/06/23-Player-Roster-to-Compete-in-2013-Gold-Cup.aspx

I'm also happy about Landon.

This is why I love the Gold Cup. I love watching the lesser players get chances.

Yeah, he's saying it has to do with his club situation. Bocanegra REALLY needs to go back to MLS. He's leaving Santander apparently. (Spanish second division)

2-0 Ghana. We need 3 or we're out of the World Cup. Not gonna happen. Shown almost no signs of scoring. Especially in the second half.

You guys, we were in the group of death. No shame in only coming out with a point. That was expected.

The US team is going to need some real talent to be able to contend for anything in all honesty. They've got Dempsey, and that's about it.

I don't think he's too far off actually.  (even though he is a terrible poster)

USMNT has no elite players.  But has 3 great players in Dempsey, Donovan, and Howard.

After that there are a lot of good but not great players.  And a whole lot of good but not great, will qualify for the World Cup and should get out of the group stage.

But reaching a World Cup semifinal will need lots of upgrade in talent.

LD10 is no longer elite, but you are right. It would take a lot of luck and us playing our A+ game to make it to the F4 of the WC

no question that howard is an elite player. between bradley, dempsey, and altidore we have a pretty good core up top. i'm not saying we are going to win the world cup, but we could make some noise if we continue to progress.

A terrible troll. Dempsey isn't even the most talented player on the team. It's Michael rough ridin' Bradley.

Pretty close between him and Howard. We should also remember that Jozy is still only 23. More like meSUCKwilliams.

Yup, Jozy can still end up being v good for us over the next 8-10 years.
