Great TIFO tonight.
Got a pic of it?? Missed it

Wow that's great. Thanks, sw.
no problem. there have been some pretty solid USMNT TIFOs for qualifiers.

because there's tons of mexicans in seattle      and besides, other than Columbus there will always be tons of mexico fans.

and i can't remember the last time we played Canada in a qualifier.

You have to admit that was the best atmosphere at USA game in sometime.  I'm all for playing Mexico in Columbus in a freezing cold night in December.  But Seattle is the first city i've seen where it seems we have an actual homefield advantage.

The key to scheduling games vs countries like Mexico, Honduras, and Costa Rica is putting them in MLS stadiums to control the attendance numbers and keep the home field advantage. If you played either of those games in Seattle, you would have 10k+ fans for CR or Honduras there and probably 30k+ Mexican fans there.

I wish it didn't have to be this way.  Americans suck.  Soccer is such a great sport, but Americans just can't see it.

You must not watch much USA soccer man. Every single home qualifier has had a distinct advantage and very good atmosphere.

I kicked your ass in this argument pretty quickly.

edit: but I do agree. I would like to be able to play all qualifiers in NFL stadiums vs who ever we want with a 95% USA fan mark.

so they're singing "we are going to brazil"

is that for sure with a win tonight?

nope, we are only half way through. but having 10 points from 5 games and two points clear of the 2nd place team right now is making it so that if we do not go to Brazil it will be one of the biggest collapses in USSF history.

ESPN's soccer index thingy gives us a 98.5% chance of qualifying. Costa Rica at 90. Mexico at 86.

so our offensive work is looking really good. i counted a good 4 or so opportunities that were a touch away from resulting in would be goals. geoff cameron can't pass that well, but he gives us another defender on the field. looked a little lost for the first 20 minutes. the pass to eddie was pretty spot on, but had several other oppys that he couldn't connect on. overall our control was far better than it has been. probably had a lot to do with playing panama, but the touches are there and so are the offensive movements. things are starting to shape up. needless to say, i'm  :excited:

I guess our idea of a very good atmosphere is different.  Which is fine.  FTB!!

would like to see him land in Bundesliga. Preferably at a team with a similar attacking scheme as the USMNT. Anything to help him grow into the role that Klinnsman wants him to play in.

Top of my list as well. I've seen him linked to Schalke and Lazio. Also BvB.  :surprised:

Schalke would be cool with Jermaine Jones already there and Champions League again next season.

2000 of 20,000 in SLC are Honduran, if this game were in Seattle there would be over 10k. That is why we need to be smart with scheduling fun muffin where ever you are.

kick up your feet, we are going to Brazil!  (unless we have the biggest downward spiral in CONCACAF history).
