Concacaf refs make up rules as they go. Let's just say for the sake of arguments Besler did kick him, that wouldn't be a yellow, it would be a red. The ref didn't see anything happen, so he had no right to issue anyone a card (even for diving). Instead this happened:

"I didn't see the challenge, and have no idea what happened, but I'm going to give a yellow card to the defender anyways"

I love soccer but this is the crap that needs to get fixed. At the very least there needs to be a challenge system to rescind cards like this.

Terribly disappointing result. And Klinsmann called it:
"I don't doubt that Marco Antonio Rodriguez is a great referee," Klinsmann said. "But at the same time, there is something I can't get out of my head. I have eight players with a yellow card, and four days later we face Mexico. Truthfully, I don't like this."

A few days late, but I'm assuming you guys don't know that it was the linesman that called that foul. I thought the Mexican official did a great job.

I've only read things and not really watched Mexico first-hand in a bit.  they are shockingly bad, and I wasn't expecting much.

Yeah a Mexican linesmen and a Mexican ref, you know who actually issued the card, since that is what refs do.  It was a trash card that no competent ref should have imagined taking out of his pocket.

Hopefully Panama can somehow manage a draw at Mexico.  That match is huge between the two of them.

I would love to see Mexico sit at home during the World Cup.

Mexico is a loss to Panama away from not even going to New Zealand, stunning.

I wonder if a gold medal team from the Olympics has ever failed to enter the proceeding world cup.

does the USA go for top qualifier from CONCACAF on final match day @ Panama, if losing would mean Mexico stays home and doesn't even get a shot at NZ? If i were JuKl I would toss out any random kid (including some of these 12 yo wonder kids playing is Spain England and Germany right now) I ever wanted to cap into that team and let the chips fall where they might.
