They just keep getting better

The ISU-KSU game must have a trophy before next season so our guys can rip it from their sideline after Campbell's crew kicks their asses up and down the field in 2018. I'm so damn tired of losing games like this to that team. Want that W more than any other next season.

They have a lot of confidence about next year for a team losing their QB, #1 WR, and their best defensive player.

His season leveled out but I still wouldn’t be terribly surprised if they lost their coach too. A lot of solid but not spectacular jobs and not a lot of candidates.

$10 million buyout

Yea, that might be more than he’s worth. Nebraska hiring him would be hilarious if Frost spurns them.

They had the most unbalanced south schedule iirc.  They would get the train rolling with 2 years of Baylor, Tech, and OSU, and then get murderized the next 2 against OU, Texas, and aTm. (Not sure if that was their actual sched, but degree of difficulty really flipped on them.)

ISU simply flew too close to the sun this year. Now they will once again finish with a worse record than KSU, which was unthinkable a couple months ago.

"His season leveled out ... "
That's what happened to McCarney's better teams, too (not the six that won no or one games in conference).

You referring to the two straight years they gagged the north away with bad losses to KU?

I believe they, like KU, are so desperate for flags they claim a shared north title for one of those years.

ISU shared the North Title in 2004 with Colorado. They lost to 3-5 Missouri at home in overtime to end the season.

The next year they would have shared the North Title with Colorado again (and won the tiebreaker) if they had managed to win their regular season finale again 3-5 Kansas. Again, they lost in overtime.

I am not aware of how many bad calls were made in those games by the Big 12 to keep the Cyclones in their place.

I've been thinking about the game and as a K-State fan, I'm pissed at all the flags the refs wanted to throw against the Cats, which couldn't be justified with a half-second of unbiased reconsideration. The Cats have had to battle flag-happy refs all year. I tell ya, we get no respect. Explains Sean's melt down. He couldn't take it any more.

Man, you guys, I was going to take a crack at putting together a gems thread but holy crap... Its just page after page of them complaining about the officiating on LITERALLY every play. The way they tell it they play mistake free football and every penalty on them is bullshit... Which, okay fine lots of nutty fans think that way... But in addition to that, they also think we commit a penalty literally every single play and are outraged when every single play doesn't result in a penalty against the cats. It's just exhausting to read I can't imagine living like that

Has ISU gotten their apology letter from the NCAA yet? They covet those things like trophies. Would be a nice silver lining for them and I hope they get one.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I just hope and pray that Bill took time out of his busy schedule plotting a forced transition to Sean to write at least one hand-written note to Campbell telling him how awesome he and his 'Clones are.  That will surely lift their spirits.

They should banner those on the wall like A&M does National Championships.

ISU indisputably owns their 'wall paper' material though.

I've always thought Iowa natives were a little weird, based on people in my family and others that I know.

This does nothing to change that perception.
