Sorry but picking up three flags against Kansas State. One was after Lazard was mugged. Sorry that was a LHC Bill Snyder win at home on your last game thing.

Anyone that denies it is lying to themselves. The big 12 clearly has an agenda against Iowa’s state and you can not deny it.

Yes!  Big 12 is all about K-State!

Somebody can just use the Video from this game to show how bad the big 12 refs screw over iowastate

crap, i called that on the first drive. when was the last time another team had 3 penalties on an opening drive against us? that was the only reason they didn't score a td to open.

They should quite the conference, in protest.  No way they should just sit there and take this obvious disrespect. I mean, I expect them to just take it, but they don't HAVE to.  I can confidently say that the AAC would take them in a heartbeat.

Somebody need to tell these jokers that their HEAD COACH CALLED A TIME OUT WITH 10 SECONDS LEFT TO GO IN THE GAME.

That there lost the game.  Otherwise, KSU has to scramble to get lined up and snap it off.

ISUs version of Karla was sitting a section over from me. She was incredulous when we booed the late hit flag (before it got picked up) but what really made her mad was there was a young lady wearing a Hawkeyes shirt and when she went up to the concourse Karla just unloaded the fury on her

They had the most unbalanced south schedule iirc.  They would get the train rolling with 2 years of Baylor, Tech, and OSU, and then get murderized the next 2 against OU, Texas, and aTm. (Not sure if that was their actual sched, but degree of difficulty really flipped on them.)

I believe they, like KU, are so desperate for flags they claim a shared north title for one of those years.

Post by: kso_FAN on November 26, 2017, 05:17:33 PM
ISU shared the North Title in 2004 with Colorado. They lost to 3-5 Missouri at home in overtime to end the season.

The next year they would have shared the North Title with Colorado again (and won the tiebreaker) if they had managed to win their regular season finale again 3-5 Kansas. Again, they lost in overtime.

I am not aware of how many bad calls were made in those games by the Big 12 to keep the Cyclones in their place.

I've been thinking about the game and as a K-State fan, I'm pissed at all the flags the refs wanted to throw against the Cats, which couldn't be justified with a half-second of unbiased reconsideration. The Cats have had to battle flag-happy refs all year. I tell ya, we get no respect. Explains Sean's melt down. He couldn't take it any more.

Man, you guys, I was going to take a crack at putting together a gems thread but holy crap... Its just page after page of them complaining about the officiating on LITERALLY every play. The way they tell it they play mistake free football and every penalty on them is bullshit... Which, okay fine lots of nutty fans think that way... But in addition to that, they also think we commit a penalty literally every single play and are outraged when every single play doesn't result in a penalty against the cats. It's just exhausting to read I can't imagine living like that

True, but they had obvious points for the end of the Texas game, KU game, and Baylor's "TD". They are definitely whiny bitches, just like us at times, but they also have some points in those vids. The refs do seem to protect high revenue schools, and I like any and all attention being brought to it...just saying.

Yeah, that's super pathetic.

We've also now passed them in all time wins, they have more all time losses, and when we go to Ames next year to rip their hearts out the all time record between us will be .500. They have been methodically passed over.

Only school that has ever been in the Big XII to never to beat a ranked team in a bowl game

Only school that has ever been in the Big XII to never have a 10 win season.

Their highest final ranking is 19, they’ve only finished the season ranked like twice.

That's got to be the worst in the p5

Rutgers is bad, but has 4 ranked finishes with a high of #12 in 06. An 11 win season and four 9 wins seasons in the last 12 years. Several other 9 wins seasons before that.

Indiana is bad, but had 5 ranked finishes with 2 at #4, the latest in 67. Like ISU, only two 9 wins seasons in history.

Kentucky is bad, but has 8 ranked finishes with a high of #6 in 77. Two 10 or better win seasons and 5 straight ranked finishes with some guy named Bear Bryant as coach.

Duke is bad, but they had multiple ranked finishes and were sort of a power in the 30s/40s. They did go from 61 to 2013 with no ranked teams until Cutcliffe finished #23 with 10 wins.

Vanderbilt is bad, with only 3 ranked finishes (2 by James Franklin). Franklin also had the only two 9 wins seasons besides a couple in the teens.

Kansas is bad, but they have 7 ranked finishes. A 9, 10, and 12 win (who can forget!) season besides a couple in 1905/08.

IIRC that game also featured a KU player not fouling out after his fifth foul.

That really was probably the worst final stretch of officiating I can remember in a recent Big 12 game. Still pretty funny ISU acts like there is some system wide issue exclusive to them.

Yep, and I think that's exactly why they picked it up. Both guys had plenty of contact so the officials determined no player was gaining an advantage based on the contact, plus it was simultaneous.

Quote from: The Rule Book
When two or more eligible players are making a simultaneous and bona fide attempt to reach, catch or bat the pass. Eligible players of either team have equal rights to the ball.

This is fantastic. People in the teacher's lounge are like, "why is pvegs laughing so much?" ha

In the post game, Bill mentioned something about hiding their signals because ISU knew what they were. What's the story behind this?
everyone knows our signals

Eh, it's not what I would have done, but I'm not going to hate on some high school kid who's excited about playing D1 football and made a video about it. Plus, like someone else said, it's better than the stupid hat game that others play.

LOL, two of those clips were in the first half of games, they are some whiny bitches.
True, but they had obvious points for the end of the Texas game, KU game, and Baylor's "TD". They are definitely whiny bitches, just like us at times, but they also have some points in those vids. The refs do seem to protect high revenue schools, and I like any and all attention being brought to it...just saying.

You're gross.
Nice take. Typical Benja post...worthless or redundant.

He could have used the same smoke for ASU

This is a good point if choose ISU based on the color of smoke he had.
