No it's over 60 but the state's software sucks

It's a combination of software and counting black people as more than 3/5 of a person.

Man,  old white guys.

But the rest of the story is that according to the councilman, who was in a heated debate with the Mayor.   It is the the mayor who references the black council woman in that way in private conversations and apparently the wife of the mayor likes to light up social media and attribute her rants to her husband.

https://www.wbrc.com/2021/07/22/tarrant-city-councilman-uses-n-word-during-meeting-says-he-was-only-quoting-mayor/

Having had that account at one time, I can attest that the Mayor is a piece of work, to say the least. edit, I was thinking of the former mayor

The rest of the story

Let me help out here, white folks, don't ever call anyone a house n-word ever, in any context. Even if the mayor said that phrase in private, there is not a single person in the world stupid enough to think that's an excuse for a white man to call a black woman that, particularly in public, on camera.

He lost his temper and forgot where he was, there isn't a person who watched that video who thinks that's the first time he called someone a n-word or the even more offensive house n-word.

Well, I always forget that the Chief Mansplainer/Understander of all things racial in Residence is always here to clarify everything for us.

Got damn, I am astounded that you don't rule the world and haven't left Bezos and Buffet in your rearview mirror.

Or you can just read the article yourself.

But that’s not how ProgFascist.7 rolls.

Not that it has any bearing on the issue of what got said by whom during that council meeting, but the mayor says the rationale of “but he said it first” is untrue.

It clearly matters to dakkk and he absolutely thinks the mayor is lying.

ChiefProgRACIST is wrong as always.

But I suppose given the fact that’s he completely used to full blown local governance by crackers and is utterly disenfranchised from any local area where his people (his words) dominate local governance (unlike where I live).  It is possible he may have some better insight in this situation relative to the councilman in question.

Just escaped Alabama after an eight hour south to north drive. Horrible traffic (basically a demolition derby on I65), confederate flags and what appears to be a contest between the gas stations to see which one can  have the filthiest bathrooms.

Sounds like the typical trip across Kansas or Missouri.    Sorry you didn’t know the good places to stop

Saturday on I-65 is hell in the summer. It’s like the FSM shat the Corn/Rust Belt upon us.

Just got back from Alabama and had a great time. Disappointed in the beach though. All kinds of algae in the water.

The Gulf has had algae problems for years.   Between all the nutrients coming in from the Mississippi river, African dust storms and other issues, it's been a problem for a long time.

My 4th time to Gulf Shore and this was the only time it was bad.

That said, I’m not making the drive again. It’s too far and then my wife wanted to detour through Laurel, MS because of some HGTV show.

From a poster on KSF, what is this?

I happen to be in Kansas visiting my daughter/sil/grandson for a few days. We were driving some county roads today in Franklin County going toward Osawatamie. Forgot the road, but along the way we passed a cool huge airplane salvage yard. We had to slow down to 20mph to go through some tiny town, and there was a house (well, trailer), in town, with a huge confederate flag on the side of his trailer, among other provocative signs. In the same town, we saw two other parked cars, and later passed a car, with confederate flag front “license” plates. I saw a few in the parking lot of the K at the game Sunday, too.
