I don't know how Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio escaped my shitty list, but they definitely belong there.
Oh come on, at least put Iowa on your list you homer. No state with Chicago deserves inclusion here.

Alabama is a sack of crap but let's be real, there are worse states
Mississippi
Arkansas
North Dakota
South Dakota
Alaska
Montana
Utah
Idaho
West Virginia
Kentucky and South Carolina are on an equally shitty plane, with Florida close behind. Rhode Island, sneakily crap.

Alaska is in the running for best state, fwiw.

What do you have against Big Sky country? Also, my friends love to travel to South Carolina.

I would take Idaho, Alaska, Montana, and Arkansas over Alabama

Outside of Colorado and states that touch the pacific ocean, it's pretty much all the same to me except for Alabama which I guess is universally considered the worst.

The Carolina’s are being overrun.

GSP to RDU on the I-85 corridor is a giant megalopolis that’s only going to get a lot worse

Throw in ATL and the I-85 corridor is a horror show of current and future congestion and sprawl

agree on MS, ND, FL, RI, SC

the other states have redeeming natural qualities, and you don't have to interact with locals to enjoy them

Alaska is heaven for some people and the absolute worst for others.  From the people I know that have lived there, there is really no in-between.

Agree with the others that the geography of Utah/Montana/Idaho makes them quality.

I can't even fathom trying to defend places like Mobile, AL as paradise compared to Missouri/Kansas, just because you miss home so damn much and you're trying to over compensate for it.  :frown:

I knew it would only be a few seconds before you'd get all  :curse:, 1000% on brand for WackyTuck.

I don't live in Mobile and Gulf Shores and Perdido Beach are not Mobile.

I'm perfectly, relaxed, dax. My bro lives in Monroe, LA.  I've driven through Mobile many times to get to Perdido with my brother, who has a place there. Mobile is disgusting and it's not far away. I know Alabama pretty well. Which makes me laugh why you always attack your past scorn lovers so much, in a huge fit of rage.

Wacky, I've been all over Missouri and Kansas many many times, and it makes me laugh when people who live in either state make fun of other states.

If you want to think I'm 'attacking' Missouri or Kansas (which again, is 1000% on brand) then by all means . . .

I'm looking at a headline in the KC Star right now:

‘Turned my heart black’: Poverty and gun violence in one St. Louis man’s life

Welcome to America in the year of our Flying Spaghetti Monster 2021 Wacks.
