As someone who does care about the arts (and a pretty big fan of the Dutch master Vermeer of Delft), this doesn't upset me. As the "Dem[] in Europe" (you idiot) says, the painting is protected by glass. It's fine. The soup was even poured over the dude's head, so as not to damage the frame.

Whenever I see a Vermeer, I'm reminded of one of my favorite paintings: Salvador Dali's "The Ghost of Vermeer of Delft Which Can Be Used as a Table"

Dang, that is a lot to get through with some pretty state specific lingo.  Seems like they did screw up in sending out the ballot in the first place but it also seems like it is absolutely party neutral in the screw up.
