The idea that crypto isn’t correlated to traditional securities is in the toilet IMO

It is but if you look at the actual numbers it isn’t as much as you might think.

If you don't have any interest in trading it and just want to hold it, I think Ledger is a good option but Coinbase Pro is also good, it is just pretty trading focused.

I’m curious at your percentages here. Like how much bigger is your ETH position than your BTC one?

Agree with SD on just about everything, but obviously it depends on your specific goals.

If you’re in it for relatively safe long term investment, I definitely think ETH and BTC are the way to go at the moment. Those are basically the 1A/1B gold standard. If you’re chasing a huge upside and excitement, there are tons of alternatives that have compelling arguments for them. Not exactly my thing though.

Now is as good a time as any to get started. Most of the money I invested was when ETH/BTC were higher than they are now.

And agree Coinbase Pro is probably the simplest & safest option for an exchange since it’s a public company. Again, that’s if you trend conservative. I’m sure you can find another option with lower transaction fees.

I use coinbase a couple weeks ago, but don't trade  at all.  I bought in with about 100 to just see how it worked, and put 50 in ETH and 50 in BTC.  Both are down from when I bought them. I also have some weirdo coins that you get for free from coinbase by doing little trainings and crap...they "pay" you to learn about odd little coins.   If you wait a couple weeks you can trade those odd ones for other coins.  I figure I'll just hang onto them in case they go to the moon.

Mostly I am on there because my junior high kid mines ETH, at the rate of about $50 a month or so.

Defi is the most intriguing to me moving forward.  Will be interesting to see how overtly the politicians and their centralized bank overlords attempt to quash it.   Cardano and Flare Networks alongside ETH will be the leading ecosystems on that.

Nope it’s gonna be ETH and SOL and nothing else. :driving:

Have you changed your mind any on NFT’s?  IMX as a layer 2 on ETH is exciting.   Ecomi’s VeVe App has all the monster IP like Marvel and Disney and likely Pokémon and is migrating onto IMX that will hit opensea.
