NFT haters are the best.  They will look like people who said the internet was a fad.

The top shot NFTs are about the stupidest thing I could ever think of.

Canadian friend of mine lucked into a bag of mantic before it shot up. Also and I probably don’t understand this all but btc kind of scares the crap out of me and I don’t know that I’ll ever purchase it again. Anyone can make a coin and call it currently. Take doge for example. Elon and Cuban pump it and people buy it. That means that there are now less people buying btc and I believe (have no idea) that it has absolutely effected the price/lack of gains over the past few weeks. What happens when jake Paul comes up with his own coin or if republicans decide they are anti btc and come up with a freedom fighter coin. crap there are sports teams now that already have coins. Eth and eth related products seem like a safer long term play. Someone smarter please tell me why I’m wrong.

ETH type platforms are very good I agree.  I think Flare Networks and Cardano might end up stealing a lot of share from ETH but your point is valid.

One of the smartest guys I know (duke mba) was mocking nfts the other week and I told him pretty much the same thing.

The nerds I have talked to say BTC has some unique advantages, #1 being it was first to market and has major brand recognition.

Other than that it has a defined, finite supply. So while you can argue over whether it’s worth jack as an actual currency, it’s also an attractive and obvious option to replace gold as a worldwide, fixed standard of worth and a solid hedge against inflation.

Ethereum is attractive due to its functionality I think, but I also have no reason to believe it wouldn’t co-exist with BTC. Other coins could serve niche purposes too.

Dogecoin as far as I can tell is just a prime example of what unregulated markets can give you.

some guy on the odd lots podcast the other day said something like:

I have 99% confidence that nothing will replace BTC at what BTC is (defined store of value) but a greater than 50% that something will replace ETH at what ETH is/does (whatever ETH is/does).

But I've still only been buying ETH for like the last month. I didn't sell any BTC, just quit adding to it.

 :dunno:

Hoskinson is like Elon Musk level brilliant and equally cringey on twitter.  I’m really more of a Flare fanboy though. Do you like ADA?

6% but it's tied up for an indeterminate amount of time.  That's not really a minus for me because I do not plan on selling even if it starts to tank.

I also am still suspicious of blockfi since it has a definite too good to be true aura about it.

It also goes against the entire premise of having control of your money and not having some third party have custody of it. If you actually believe in what Bitcoin was created for tho, I guess.

I don’t have very much crypto on blockfi, but I think a 10% interest rate on stablecoin is good. Call me crazy.

My cousins husband informed me of a doc on Amazon called Cryptopia. Just finished it and only complaint is giving Roger Ver and Craig Wright any screen time. I mean I guess they should have an opinion but I almost punched their faces on my TV screen.

As it’s on the precipice of $3000 a piece, I will finally share my first ever ETH buy just testing out how buys worked. It’s already documented how it went after this. LOL
