Yeah, we have a contending professional baseball team vs North Carolina who doesn't have one.

You act like the idea of local sports stations talking baseball in the middle of a pennant race is bizarre.

7 of the 11 SEC states do not have a MLB team. Of course they will get a ton of college coverage on radio.

On regular sports talk radio it gets some coverage, but it's not a centerpiece by any stretch.

I've been spending a lot more time in the heart of SEC country, and it's all college football all the time, with a little NFL sprinkled in.

I understand why the KC stations talk a lot about the Royals, but it just goes on and on and on.

Spring Training and Training Camp sports talk radio is the worst, and it goes on forever. I can deal with a weekly golf or nascar segment by switching stations, but spring training and training camp runs for over a full month

Station in Denver is going to cover the Broncos 24/7/365. Can you imagine doing a 4 hour show in Feb. and March?

Majors on the radio are great.

And honestly, I hate this time of year. I tune to 810 hoping to hear about how awesome the Royals are and the playoff race and I constantly get this Chiefs crap.
