here's my take: the arms length rule applys to ice blocks, not ices... if someone taped an ice to my car window and i see it as i'm walking down the sidewalk, i could simply not go to my car and take the bus in an effort to avoid the icing.
my take is icing is line of sight. if you see the ice then you've been iced. but it is open for debate, let's discuss further.
a valid argument. however, it is your car that the ice is on. you're going to have to get into your car if you want to drive somewhere. and when you do, you're iced. edit*****just realized that you could decide to go grab an ice block, just like the shower situation**** a shower is more avoidable than your own car. you can find other places to shower, or simply grab an ice block when getting into the shower.
this is a tough one. all i'm saying is, it just didn't really feel like a valid icing when i saw it from relatively far away, not presented directly to me, and so easy to just go grab an ice block for it.
