yeah, i read the story. i don't believe that they didn't know about the transaction before it occurred. however, there is no evidence that brookfield paid above market rate, and the idea that brookfield would place the interests of a 9% owner of a subsidiary over their own interests or the interests of their other minority owners is pretty laughable.
