i agree with him that we fetishize the civil war/lincoln and that it is way underconsidered whether it was a necessary war to fight.  no opinion or knowledge on whether jackson might have been inclined and able to forge a different path if he was president in that era.

Jackson would've just hit the can that was being kicked down the road for at that point about 200 years with his cane like a golf club like someone else I knowso hard it just never would have disappeared. I'm just sure of it...
