What's really interesting is that I keep hearing people say they voted for him because they thought his stance on X was just talk.

The same people usually said they liked him because he was a straight shooter.

So, what I don't get, if you are a part of the pretty big overlapping part of the Trump electorate that believed in both of the above points, is that his campaign promise on X is occurring.

Trump consistently has said that people voted for him because he promised these things. But when you talk to those people, they say they voted for him in spite of those things.

It's a weird dynamic.

These people were too stupid to realize that the things Trump was going to do would affect them. Like the people who were not worried about him repealing Obamacare because they had health insurance through the ACA.
