Plenty of moderates voted Trump. Anecdotally, I believe a good way to push moderates/independents to lean a certain way is to repeatedly debase and generalize another side's constituents. It comes off looking weak and desperate.

you don't have to be 0% evil or 0% stupid to not be colloquially described as evil or stupid. i'm not sure what % is the exact cutoff, but it's not 0% (or 50%).

there are a lot of awful people that think they aren't awful but in fact the other side is awful. most awful people actually. these people are normally on the far ends of the political scale. the middle is mostly populated with non-awfuls who correctly know that people on the far ends of the scale are awful.

IDK, I mean, if you do something evil one out of every four oppys, that is still pretty evil. If you do something stupid one out of every 3 oppys, that is def stupid. I think both should be lower.

it's not a % of the times you do something. it's like a % of your impulses or something or maybe the purity of your motives. someone that is 20% evil would do non-evil stuff the vast majority of the time because the 80% would mostly outvote the 20% and also there'd be inertia and social inhibitions and whatnot layered on.
