How hilarious will it be if trump snubs giuliani?

More hilarious than when he snubs Chris Christie, which I think he will. But he'll find a place for Rudy.

A bunch of Trump supporters are racists, bigots, misogynists, and/or homophobes. Many probably don't think of themselves that way or even act that way in general everyday life, but if you want a racist, bigot, misogynist, homophobe to be president then you are at least a little bit racist, bigoted, misogynist or homophobic.

Trump needed more than just out right white male racists to win. He also needed people who were too stupid or short sighted or disengaged to understand what electing this type of man means for themselves or other Americans.

Honestly, the most troubling part is not what Trump's policies will be (although that's a concern) but the fact that there exist so many people in this country that support his views.

Solid post.

Gotta agree with Carnes here.

I'm a little disappointed by this. Aside from co-signing the repugnant language, can't you muster a little bit of empathy, for at least 24 hours? Let people deal with this how they can, it isn't rough ridin' hurting you.

it's a new alphamerica. no more participation trophies. no more safe spaces. those playing the victim game will be left with no hugs. from the 48 laws of alpha (which i read cover to cover every day):

i am a nice guy though, so i will offer some words of encouragement to those in pain, some scraps if you will. ivanka will be the first female president one day, and she will be tremendous.

I agree that it is melodramatic. I also think he made some good points. I appreciate his thought that many people are upset because of something that extends beyond politics. And that it is more about things like how we ought to treat each other. For something less melodramatic, see Stan Van Gundy's thoughts.

Stunz you should put the 48 laws of alpha on a plaque in a prominent place like Snyder's 16 goals success at BSFS

If you're truly alpha why would you need a book telling you how to be alpha?

Sure.  Trump was a brute and a bully throughout his campaign.  It's troubling that that sort of behavior worked to get him elected.

That's said, I don't necessarily think his being elected as a result of that behavior is some American existential crisis.  I imagine plenty of people (most?) voted for him in spite of his antics and rhetoric, not because of them.

Do we need to have a press conference to give Hillary her Certificate of Participation so the millennials know the competition is over?

It's shocking that such a large amount of people were unaware that roughly half of the population of their country disagreed with them on many political and social issues.

I am surprised that I was surprised. Again, though, it's not so much about the "issues" as it is about tacit acceptance or endorsement of people being shitty to each other. I had no idea that people are so okay with that.

When it's your team that's being shitty, people will rationalize just about anything and keep supporting the team. Just look at Baylor and Penn State.

Yep.  The same thing could probably be said of hillary supporters rationalizing her scandals.

how's that saying go about too often we judge others by their worst examples while we view ourselves with the best of intentions?

the hysteria over all of this is annoying, but I can empathize with the fear that a lot of people feel. Trump and his supporters said many disgusting things throughout this campaign. If I were a minority, I would most likely be very upset.

I don't feel like articulating the rest of my thoughts on the issue.

That's what happens when you are close minded. But you're ok with that and want to continue with your head up your ass. And speaking of people being shitty to each other:

But you don't have to watch, it won't align with your views.

You don't think it could be a shock to the system to some people that 50,000,000 in this country thought it was okay to rationalize voting for someone who behaves like he does? He is now the leader of the free world and he just a few months ago stood on a stage and mocked a guy with cerebral palsy. I think it is shocking to some because people, mostly privileged, think the number of people willing to swallow his behavior and allow him to be the most powerful person in the world would be a small fraction of 50,000,000. I think trump is full of crap so I think he will pretty much do what the Republican establishment wants him to do, but I completely understand some people being upset about this many people willing to be okay with Trump's behavior. I consider myself woke so this isn't that surprising to me.

If a super stud like Stan Van Gundy says he's never been ashamed of America before now, then that's good enough for me to know that there's a pretty good difference between Trump and any other candidate in recent history.
