Bet we call a timeout on our first offensive possession

O/U on number of plays run before calling first timeout: 2.5

I can't picture scoring a lot of points.

Maybe something like

31 - 13 Stanford

Stanford scored 6 points in their first game last year, 31 in their first home game (against the only team in FBS that might've been worse than KU)

Maybe they'll get off to a slow start here too.

I predict that I will be miffed by whatever low blow the Stanford marching band does at halftime.  Truth be told, I've been sweating it all summer.

Meh, if they phone it in with something about the Wizard of Oz or farming/wheat it'll be yawntastic. Literally the lowest bar they could hop over. I'm hoping they do some dig on Brownbackistan or being tightwad tea totaling conservative. That will be something.

Stanford fans seem to be obsessed with some streak they have going of like 13 games where they have scored 30 or more. I think that streak comes to an end, but barely.

Cards - 27
Cats - 28

Cats - 55
John Elway's Stupid Teeth - 23

Stanfords plodding offense doesn't get anything meaningful rolling until the game is out of hand. We realize the forward pass will be an option this season, but still only manage to run 55 plays. Special teams is a decided advantage.

Not sure if this news effects anyone's predictions, but considering how much the Cards fans are talking about him. . .could be a big deal.

When asked

"Is this big news / will hurt the offenses ability to excel? Or is this more of the "Doesn't matter, we've got CMac." variety of news?"

this is how Stanford fans on "The CardBoard" responded:

Quote from: OutsiderFan
It just means Bryce Love won't be doing damage to KSU.  It doesn't mean Stanford's ability to damage KSU will be materially impacted by Love's absence.

Quote from: fullmetal
The latter, though Love will undoubtedly play an integral part in opposing DCs' nightmares later this season.

Quote from: stupac2
I wouldn't say that it doesn't matter, it clearly is a blow. But it's probably a blow that's only worth a point or two on average.

Quote from: donkey687
I think this is big news.  With a new QB and a new OL, KSU can focus even more on stopping CMac.  With B Love on the field in the slot or at RB with CMac in the slot at the same time, the Stanford offense is much harder to defend.  Plus, CMac can't have all of our carries and we will be turning to an unproven and less explosive RB when CMac comes off the field.

I am wondering if we will see any Wildcat plays with someone other than CMac to give Christian some plays off.  Jay Tyler perhaps?

I've studied.
I've researched.
More study and research (in depth).
Investigations then ensued.
Detailed data analysis conducted.
Statistics and other numbers have been thoroughly processed.
Databases were administered.

Output:
Mmm Mmm Cats 34
Cardinals 17

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
