Many of those deals negatively impacting the US, and likely creating illicit influences or even blackmail at some point in the future. Not to mention dealing with some of the most oppressive regimes in the world.
The Clintons put together a great Uranium deal for a Canadian company owned by the Russians.

I don't think Putin/Trump necessarily have a deal worked out but I think Putin knows that a Trump presidency will be good for Russia.
