When I hear someone say "identity politics" I hear someone not wanting me to fight for my equal piece of the apple pie.

how sad.

Let's talk about it then.

When I hear Elizabeth Warren say something like she did last night "We believe in equality and fairness..." I want to gag because one of the biggest problems I have with the Democratic party platform is that they are shallow and ineffective when it comes to civil rights. Everyone "believes in equality." Identity politics or nah?

Not surprised MSN thinks differently than some of our token libtards on here.

You should watch the speech for yourself and tell us what you think about it.

The interview after Bernie's speech with some rando crowd Bernie girl.....

She had a bernie tat on her chest and told the interviewer that "there are still two candidates for our nomination, and I plan on voting for Bernie!"

That girl was incredible, and by incredible I mean even more ridiculous and delusional than most Bern'rs.  Her voice was really hoarse so you know she had been crying and booing the whole night.  She complained about having to sit through the "Clinton lovefest" and the DNC was mean for making Bernie wait until the very end to speak.  Apparently in her world the headlining band at a concert plays first or something.

Equal opportunity and equal protection.

First one seems impossible given we're born different unless society becomes some sci-fi utopia. I feel you would lose all the diversity and uniqueness of people. What would equal opportunity look like? Only reward hard work? If you bring others down to make things equal, that's unfair as well.

Second one seems more possible, but in my eyes it's human nature to be more iffy about certain people. When you're in a high pressure situation instincts take over. Could be trained to react better, but I've never been in their shoes so I can't pretend to know. Plus some blame could be put on blacks, who then blames society, and then you get in the circular blame game.

I'm legit curious how equality would be solved. Given birth is random (say before there was current day people my soul had an equal chance of being anybody in the world), that is pretty much equal. Like football overtimes.

MSNBC picked three Bern-Outs from different areas of the arena to interview after his speech, and all three gave an emphatic "NO!" when asked if they would now vote for Hillary. They don't trust her. Brian Williams was beside himself.

Bernouts on Reddit are hating Hillary. If they were indifferent, I'd be worried. Actually who am I kidding. I'm never worried with Trump's multidimensional chess skills.

Yes.  Was really great when she said that Bernie was "barely represented tonight", then the interviewer said that he just gave a speech, to which she responded, "yeah.....at like 10:20 at night!"   Like all the dems went to bed already.

Would be great to use these as a before type pic then get an after pic of these ppl once it's announced which cushy cabinet job Bernie is going to get from Hill for the sale of his dignity.
