Cruz is twisting the knife in to Trump:

"Colorado different than Texas, but follows up with Iowa different than New York."

Hmmm....who won the Iowa caucus again?

He also had a line about "rich enough to send kids to whatever school they choose like Obama and Clinton."  The Trump kids have specifically mentioned school choice with the obvious acknowledgement that they went to the best private schools money could buy.

Cruz is shamelessly setting himself up for 2020, and much more effectively than Christie did in 2012 because he is actually speaking about the party's vision/issues, not his own accomplishments.

cruz is a polished speaker, but i dunno, to me this isn't one of his better efforts.  maybe he seems better in contrast to the convention's amateur hour participants.

As always, Cruz can't contain himself.  He could've gotten away with this, but he couldn't help himself.  Now getting shouted down.

Holy crap.

it was when he said voting up and down the ballot...that seemed like the biggest face mush moment...the ending was about the cop's kid niceness.

yeah.  pretty soft.  this is the man that defied his own party in a vainglorious gov stopping political stunt.  he's a complete sociopath - if he wanted to denounce trump, he'd have just gone and done it.  all he was doing was blowing a few dog whistles to give himself cover when history gets around to judging.

What are you talking about?  He came to Trump's convention, was given a prime time slot and stared down his family and told everyone to go out there and vote their conscience.  It was a suicide bombing.
