I got kicked out of one of those for having my baseball hat on backwards. It was very awkward, obviously a Griffey hater

why didn't you just turn it frontwards

He's a Trout hater

because booze and I thought it was a stupid ass rule. plus the hat totes did not look as good forward as it did backwards, had a little bit of a mushroom top to it when facing front.

Aggieville basically already has one hotel.  The number of hotel rooms in Manhattan has already doubled in the past 4 years.

If someone wants to build one, it's their money.  The hotel will basically just siphon money from other hotels at this point though.  It won't help tax rev in the community so the city shouldn't give them any incentives.  Also, the proposal had the entrance on Bluemont so the traffic there would be a cluster.

I'm merely talking location.  The economics of a hotel investment are a different issue.  Assuming it makes $ sense for somebody, AV is an ideal location.

not sure why traffic would be an issue.  it wouldn't be the first street in the world to have two hotels.

Traffic wise there is no left turn into the hotel.  People are already annoyed at the Starbucks slowing traffic and causing minor accidents with their drive thru.

The hotel would be in a good position to make money.  It just wouldn't be in a good position to bring any more money into the city.

don't care about whether it makes money for the city.  Just want good hotel options when I'm in town for sports.

Lots of assumptions in that statement.

Nothing is 100% but there are very few assumptions in that statement.

I do not want another stupid hotel, I mean this when I say it, but I'd rather have a pizza ranch go there and compete with pie 5 than another hotel

the only people that think there needs to be another aggieville hotel are out of town alcoholic 40 year olds who want to be able to stumble to their bed after a night in the ville while trying to relive their fun college years that they more than likely never had in the first place.

It'll never happen, but a BBQ place in the style of Q39, good BBQ with a decent bar in a tasteful atmosphere.   No Hee-Haw copycat bullshit.

like chicat has already said, it brings absolutely nothing to the table for the people who live in manhattan and makes an already kind of bad traffic situation even worse. so as long as you can read, the downside seems pretty obvious. NO BENEFIT + WORSE TRAFFIC= NET LOSS
