I worked at the K-State bookstore for a couple of years during college. I remember half my days during the run up to classes starting was spent removing all of the stickers and price tags from the mountains of used text books that would come in. We had to use industrial heat guns for some of them depending on the adhesive! Then, one year we started just putting these "K-State Bookstore" stickers over the competitor's stickers (usually Varney's). Then Varney's started using bigger stickers and we had to use even bigger stickers to cover those up. It got ridiculous to the point that we were using stickers about the size of a freaking Hallmark card just to cover up Varney's stupid stickers. Do kids even still buy text books these days? I figured they'd all be downloaded on their phones or tablets or whatever by now.
