Shawnee > Lenexa

The only thing Shawnee has going for it is it's proximity to nicer places, like Lenexa or Bonner Springs.

I thought you were KCK?  I wish my office was in Shawnee.  KCK sucks.  Better than KCMO I guess but only by 1%.

I guess this is a good place to ask and it seems you may know...

What's the deal with a sheriff's office (at least JoCo's)?  Do they only have rural jurisdiction or something?

no, their jurisdiction is the entire county.  but given that the incorporated areas have their own police forces, they spend a lot of time in rural areas.

Lenexa - Home of the worst traffic in this hemisphere.
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

The other night we went to bed without closing a garage door.  Lenexa police drove by at like 3AM, knocked and called but we were asleep, closed it for me and left a VM letting me know.  How awesome is that?
