Alot of my HS friends lived around 87th and lackman/435 but I had not been in that area in a while. About a year ago I drove down west down 87th and as soon as I passed lackman I was shocked with how big the lenexa city center thing is at 87th and 435, just absurd.
When I was in HS there were still farms in that area and I'm not even a super old.
It amazes me too. Mrs SF and I used to take our dog to the park out there a few years after college. Basically nothing. Years later and my kid plays at 3 and 2 and I was like, holy crap, where did all of this come from?
We are old balls now and it sucks.
