Venezuela and Argentina are not "Soviet like communism" either. They both put their economies in the shitter. I'm not using strawman.

Venezuela and Argentina are both heavily affected by rent-seeking behavior on the part of government officials, very poor social cohesion, and a limited ability to collect taxes.  You could certainly argue that these are all symptoms, but they pre-date Chavez/Maduro in Venezuela and go way back in Argentina as well.

Venezuelan democracy is slowly working to clean up the mess of Chavez and Maduro, I would say conservatives should retain their faith in our republic even if they lose. Rubio seems like he thinks we may be losing America forever.

I suggest you actually investigate and understand how the financial sector and it's comprehensive regulatory structure work, rather than listen to the folklore of bogeyman orated by a crazy old career politician - and a poor one at that.

If you don't even know how vanilla commercial banks are structured, or how lending works, you certainly aren't going to be able to comprehend "wall street" (e.g., capital markets). Criminalizing investment seems like a very "socialist" thing to do.

The lenders fabricated the incomes of people taking out mortgages. Giving Americans loans they couldn't repay. Sold the loans to big banks which were diced up into securities, given AAA ratings, and sold back into our pension funds. So the average American essentially got mumped twice.

This occurred hundreds of thousands of time all in the name of capitalism. People should have been locked up. Settling out of court doesn't seem to do stop them.
