I figured that a too cool for schooler like cRusty could ascertain that a music group that has sold 46 million albums, 55 million singles and has an estimated 100 billion plus streaming sessions (and counting) might tend to skew towards the "popular" side of the equation.

edit:  I'm giving Deezer HiFi a try, and ID shows 7.1 million followers on Deezer, which is not the biggest streaming service by any stretch.

I thought this too but they have the title sequence song in Arcane and it's a real earworm

They played one song that I had no idea they sang that I enjoyed. It was like their first hit I think. Had no idea. Dude is def talented and has a huge following. As I said above, the diversity of the crowd was really interesting. and by diversity I don't mean race, because I don't think I saw one non white person.

Modest Mouse is touring.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I think they're playing at a festival with Father John Misty in Port Townsend, Washington (Is Rusty still too cool for that?)

Jack White was pretty great. I prob enjoyed the show a few years ago a bit more solely due to the playlist. He played some new stuff as well as a couple old deep tracks last night that I wasn't that familiar with. He puts on a pretty great show though. Getting Pak'd on a monday isn't terribly ideal, but that is for the getting old thread I guess.

No crap? Had no idea they were touring. Going to see Unwound in SF this February. All these cash grabs are hilarious, but, please, take my money.

Pearl Jam this past weekend. The boys still got it.  :billdance: First time at the arena in St. Louis. The sound wasn't great. It seemed to depend on where you were, but we were in a section that had quite a bit of echo at times. Still a great time.

the acoustics couldn’t be worse than the t-mobile center in downtown kc.  probably the worst venue for music that i’ve ever been in

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Maybe most hockey type arenas are similar and it just depends on where you sit.  :dunno: I've heard some loud crap at t-mobile and i've never had the experience like at the St Lou one.

Drove my 16 year old and one of her friends to a Cigarettes After Sex concert in Austin last night.  I didn’t go in, just waited in the car. So, it was her first real concert.  Afterwards, they get in the car and they loved it. But my favorite part was when she said “and ar the end, he played a trick on us. He said ‘goodbye’ and all the band left the stage. But then they came back and sang two more songs”.
