Fair enough. I think people might be mistaken though when the terrorists talk about the % owned and how it needs to be "returned" to the state. These are obviously complex issues, but these militants clearly have no grasp of the history at play outside of their agenda.

My folks (who live in Portland) said they saw some folks on TV wearing K-State gear, bird watchers or whatever that went to the refuge, and they reported that the terrorists were very nice and accommodating.

I heard an interview with some birdwatchers when this all started. They were pissed. They said that they have started taking pictures of some of the things the ranchers are doing on fed land and plan to start turning them in each and every time they catch them doing something they aren't supposed to. They were really over the top and sounded pretty ridic. Like they are some ninja spy team. They said that they have all witnessed loads of stuff that fits this category already and that they will document and report it all from here on.

This has been a fascinating story that dates back to the first days of open air nuclear testing. They didn't really understand the implication of radiation back then, but there were a few ranches and mines nearby and they'd get little warning in advance, like, "Don't look at the fireball" and stuff like that.
