It feels like oscar's teams play up or down to their competition, and this time of year we just play some serious dregs.  I think it's hard for them to stay focused.
That was foster, tho.
Last off season was supposed to fix it.

I never had that kind of confidence in Foster.  :dunno:

38% of our scoring is coming from freshmen right now. I do have confidence that one (or maybe 2) out of Wade, Brown, or Stokes will develop into that kind of go-to scorer eventually.

townie cat lets be real, you have 0 confidence in anything.

I have confidence that I will be at the Barrett statue at noon today if you want to meet me there.  :comehere:

Seriously, since Pullen, Macgruder and maybe Foster (freshman year), I can't remember anyone who I had a lot of confidence in to shoot the ball when we need points.
Maybe you should get on the stokes train then. Also, Foster was last year, so i'm sorry you've had to wait a whole 6 months to find a shooter for this team.

This team is playing above their coverage. They're basically dating the red head from American pie, and their potential is Zooey. We've out punt our coverage so far and that confuses the BID crowd. Stop following the over 44 year old mods and go w/ your gut! Go cats and hope for the best! Cats, man!

You can talk to some of these guys, but this better not be directed to me. I was very disappointed at the end of last season and this summer, but I have been pretty positive this season. I'm pleased with the record so far and the win at Georgia was nice. I have liked how this team plays together and plays hard and does things like oboard and get to the FT line.

But I will not give poor performance a pass because they are young or some nonsense. Yeah, the defense looks good the last two games, but we played teams that had just lost their best player in both, the defense better look great. We had a terrible performance against So Carolina St and the past two games were barely better. aTm was a winnable road game that featured poor defense. We can't shoot and the dumb turnovers have been increasing lately.

I believe this team can go .500 in the league and get to the tournament and my disappointment stems from that. If this team continues the trends of poor offense with lots of turnovers they will win 4-6 Big 12 games at most and I believe they are better than that. I don't like the trend of seeing oscar teams play down to bad teams. I'm hopeful the short break will be enough to get us back on track, we'll handle St. Louis, then get the league started off nicely with a win vs West Virginia at home.

I simply will not give the team excuses for the poor play they've shown far too often lately.

_fan, you're the last person I would direct that to. You're the best poster on this blog and you want K-State to win all the time, no matter who the coach is. Consider me a tuck if that's all I care about, but whatever. I'll take a dorky coach in every sport if they can win.

I'm just over the #BID agenda. It's old and stupid. Either you want your alma to succeed or you don't really give a eff and that's fine, but why would you blog about sports if you don't give a eff.

I've crunched the numbers on this team's clutch sharpshooting and I am not even a little bit concerned.

Brown can shoot a bit. Stokes is in a slump, but decent.

Wade can shoot it a bit, but shooting a bunch of 3s is not his game. Same thing for Edwards and Westicles.

After that its going to be up to Hurt throwing in a few.

Stokes and Brown are the only real shooters we have, but its tough to rely on that from freshmen.

We don't need to shoot 40% as a team, but we can't keep having halves where we shoot <20% like we have against SCS, aTm, CSU, and ND.

I have a hard time getting to _FAN's .500 in conference play.  Even what I have below seems optimistic, IMO.  Too many coaches in the league like to play with pressure and against our young guards, that makes it hard for me to believe that we can pull an upset in those games.

KU/ISU/OU - 1 and 5
WV/UT/Baylor - 2 and 4
OSU/TT/TCU - 5 and 1

The #Bruceketball track record says we probably do better against the top 3, but also probably worse against the bottom.

7 or 8 is probably realistic, my optimism is pushing me to 9.

I think we get six out of those eight. And I think we will be fairly decent at home.  Nine is possible.

Just another excellent defensive performance.

All these shitty schools were playing junk d and packing it in. We won't see much of that in conference  (except Baylor obv) because that's not the "philosophy" of the ego coaches.

The offense will improve. Also, Hurt needs to get his wide ass into the paint.
