Went to a debate between a young earther and a normal person at Kstate my freshman year for a class (freshman seminar?) at Mccain auditorium.  It was nuts.

what year would this have been, and what were take aways?

Fall of 2000 probably.  Guy just didn't believe in Carbon dating, bible is the word/historical fact etc.

The young Earth thing was very common in Evangelical world in the 80s/90s and still is to some extent. I remember someone coming to my Sunday School Class claiming Dinosaurs didn't actually go extinct!

They died in the flood

So I am rolling through YouTube last night mainly looking at some audio equipment reviews, and videos of vintage audio gear.   I also enjoy watching the airplane videos of a couple of guys who climb up and take great pictures of fighter planes going through the Mach Loop in the UK, or Star Wars Canyon in California.  So naturally the UFO stuff, and Area 51 starts creeping into the suggestions.

So I came upon this, and apparently some people have lots of time and money to burn.  But the part I found fascinating was the part regarding the neighbors.  A house in Rachel, NV with all kinds of visitors from out-of-state.  So they tail a van one day, and it ends up going through a gate into the restricted area around Area 51.  It could be all kinds of things, base workers or whatever.  But I just thought it was weird that they'd live out in a god forsaken place like Rachel, when the DOD will fly them in from LAV on Janet flights every day.

Not a conspiracy in the modern sense as much, but I find ancient history of civilization/religion/mythology fascinating.

Currently fascination is the relationship between Abraham, Sarah and the birth of Judaism/Hebrew culture and its possible connection to the Brahm sect from ancient India near Kashmir, which has links through and including Jesus of Nazareth.

You would maybe like the ancient apocalypse show on netflix. I couldn't get past how the main guy thinks everything is a big science conspiracy but as entertainment you might enjoy it.

Oh yeah, I watch all that kind of stuff. It’s definitely entertaining and lots of it is very thought provoking. Of course much of it is whacked as well.

If i'm being honest i don't know a whole lot about it either other than it is said to be one of the most ancient of religions and most modern day religions borrow heavily from many of its aspects. ALSO FUN FACT: Freddie Mercury was a Zoroastrian

I’m very interested in what changes are ahead of us as we move into the Age of Aquarius.

Here is a fun read on human history during the current Astrological Great Year. https://www.astrolada.com/articles/astrology-techniques/the-astrological-ages.html

Wiki for more nuts and bolts … https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Year

This discussion may be better suited for the the religion thread

idk if this is a conspiracy or just a matter of public record, but Pat Tillman being killed in action is more like...well, he did willingly and enthusiastically join the armed forced after 9/11, and after a couple years of it was like "hey everybody, this like, actually sucks wtf are we even doing?" and then he was like "hey you guys i think i'm going to do an interview w/ Noam Chomsky about how much this whole thing just like actually sucks" and then shortly before he's supposed to do his interview oopsie daisy 3 bullets in the back of the head

I can understand how that could be a fascinating conspiracy theory to some people. It's always interesting to hear different perspectives and beliefs, even if they don't align with our own.
On another note, have you checked out firstchurchlove.com? It's a great website for those interested in exploring spirituality and finding community in a welcoming environment.

The majority of the "followers" of the bird conspiracy are just enjoying the cult like feel of the overall lunacy

Whereas something like the flat earthers do not enjoy a cult like following who are just signed up for the laughs

Trump is the Anti-Christ

Mentioned this one in one of the Trump threads (LOL Trump, I think). This is a very enjoyable one.

Donnie Darkened on Twitter. His pinned thread is the main theory.
