The idea that the major oil companies slinging gas in the United States have all bought out the patents to every scientific breakthrough that would replace gasoline engines. They are letting that technology trickle into the market ever so slowly so that when gasoline really runs out they can be the heroes with the "new" technology that they have been sitting on for years.

I can kinda see that division for the Obama birth conspiracy and 9/11 conspiracy, but I wouldn't say anywhere close to a majority of conservatives believe the Obama thing, or that anywhere close to a majority of liberals believe the 9/11 thing (and yeah, I'm not putting a lot of stock in opinion polling on these "issues").

Other examples?

My HS AP Physics teacher showed us one of those specials he recorded off Fox.  It had points like "the flag appears to wave here, but there is no wind on the moon."  He was genuinely distraught for a day or two.  He loved NASA and he was questioning his faith in them.  He is now in a high level leadership position at KSU Potytec.

Yes but does it keep with the spirit of the thread?  My thoughts are more in line with this, from the Wash. Post:

Quote
Racial paranoia and conspiracy theories persist, however, including the conviction that the city’s elite blew up the levees to protect rich neighborhoods at the expense of poorer ones, or to drive low-income African Americans out of town.

This falsehood — cued by inexact memories of a deliberate levee breach in 1927 — gained currency after the storm. Louis Farrakhan claimed that Mayor Ray Nagin told him that the levees had been blown up, a view Nagin felt obliged to disown under questioning on Capitol Hill. And Spike Lee, who would later direct a documentary about Katrina, espoused similar ideas. “I don’t find it too far-fetched,” he said in 2005, “that they try to displace all the black people out of New Orleans.”

The broader topic of flood water accommodation is a touchy subject.  Don't have to look any further than Manhattan KS.

What exactly is the benefit to China for having this manufacturing setup and who is allowing it to happen?

Shorter lead times.
No regulation of labor.
No environmental regulation (dump crap into ocean).

No one is allowing it to happen; no one has the jurisdiction to stop it.

^ all allegedly according to the conspiracy theorists, of course

I also thought of being able to dump crap in the ocean as a big plus for them.  LOL at no regulation of labor, this is China we're talking about.  However it would take much longer to ship the raw materials there. If they accidentally ran out of a key raw material they'd have to wait 2 weeks for a cargo ship to make it over.

You're an idiot (obviously).  These ships have carrier decks and airplanes can land on them and depart.

Here's one I have raised myself:

Neither political party, at the leadership level, really wants to fix the education system.  It is too easy of a political football for both sides to use to leverage their bases, as well as use as a door to push policy through that impacts other areas of society.  You actually do something to really fix problems, or address the root issues, you risk angering your voting base, or losing that wedge issue through which you squeeze through your "reforms" that have little to do with educating kids.

Of course, I'm just a crazy social studies teacher, so I could be wrong.

It's actually a pagan holiday. The birth of Christ was just used to justify its continuance.

Tellytubbies are used to normalize perversion in children and asexualization as acceptable.  This has led to the rise of a perverted distortion of sexual mores in western civilization leading to a conservative revolution in the west and east.   The revolution  manifested itself in the west in talk radio, in the east in radical islam.  Also perverts like Anthony Weiner, Handjob bill, and Obama have risen to power no longer considered to be deviant. Jihadi John when captured said fighters relax {masturbate} to Tellytubbies.  Think of a societal I'll and it can be linked to this satanic show strewn with hidden symbolism.

I like to think flat earthers are terribly inarticulate and are demonstrating that we living in a higher dimensional universe to which we aren't equipped to easily and intuitively understand since we mainly perceive in 3 dimensions, by interpreting projected 3 dimensional space in 2 dimensions. .

https://www.vox.com/2017/6/20/15830312/magicresistance-restance-witches-magic-spell-to-bind-donald-trump-mememagic
Resistance witches, 13,000 strong, have cast a black zapper death spell on Trump, God's agent to make his favorite country, America, great again.  It is suspected that this has unleashed the power of the Devil on the U.S., and he is using weather and earth quakes to ravage Americans.

If God does not bring natural disasters, who does?
Many people do not believe in a real devil, but the Bible is very clear on this point. Satan exists, and he is the destroyer. Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” (Luke 10:18, NKJV). Satan was once a holy angel at the right hand of God in heaven (Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28). He rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9). Jesus said, "the devil was a murderer from the beginning, and the father of lies" (John 8:44). The Bible says that the devil attempts to deceive the whole world, and one way he tries to do this is by spreading the idea that there is no real devil. According to recent surveys, fewer and fewer people in America believe the devil really exists. The existence of a real devil is the only thing that can explain the existence of evil in a world that is predominantly good. “Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time” (Revelation 12:12, NKJV).

The Old Testament story of Job is a classic example of how God sometimes allows Satan to bring calamities. Job lost his cattle, his crops, and his family to vicious attacks, a killer hurricane, and firestorm. Job’s friends said these disasters came from God, but a careful reading of the book of Job reveals that it was Satan who brought these evils (see Job 1:1-12).

Besides being complete loons, what is the support?

If you YouTube lots of videos examining the radar of these storms and such.

The U.S. military and others have experimented with weather modification for years, but I don't think they can steer Hurricanes just yet.   Another conspiracy on chemtrails at least in combat zones is that it's used to create cloud cover so black project aircraft can fly without being seen as easily or that the artificial ceiling allows certain kinds of radar that the U.S. uses to track ground movement of enemy vehicles to work better.

The conspiracy people on this storm lose credibility because they try and use wide gaps in wind speed at various points in these storms to show they're being "concentrated" and "steered".   Toss in the fact that a pretty important AFB got smacked and that only fuels them.    Thing is, anyone who has been through Hurricanes can attest that even short distances can make a large differernce in what kind of wind speeds you experience.

So do these loons think we can create hurricanes?

Steer them, make them stronger.

But remember, there's already science that says it's possible to diminish a Hurricane once formed, and it was floated about after Katrina.   But then this crazy thing happened and we didn't have to change the Saffir-Simpson scale and land falling major hurricanes are currently at minimums relative to the last century or so (according to UA-H the 1500's were a particularly busy time in Florida for major hurricanes, just thought I'd pass that along).

I have to agree with this one.  That ten year journey from 1931-1941 was absolutely impossible by air during that period in history.

One conspiracy I find fascinating.

That NeoCons during the Reagan administration conspired to have Reagan assassinated.

https://whowhatwhy.org/2016/08/16/bush-angle-reagan-shooting-still-unresolved-hinckley-walks/

That article doesn't go into the reasons, but one I've heard is it's because Reagan is building up the military and not using it.
