Ty Zimmerman over Jon McGraw is absurd.

McGraw was HM all big 12 as a JR.

Zimmerman was 1st team all big 12 twice and 2nd/3rd team all American twice. At least HM all big 12 all 4 years.

Hmmmm I wonder why that is.  Oh you mean All-Pro Roy Williams was also a safety at that time in the Big 12?  McGraw was very good and I know this isn't an NFL discussion,  but he is just obviously better.  I love Zimmerman.  I really do, but I just don't think he was as good.  This is my opinion.

I thought this was about who was better while playing at K-State. :dunno:

i honestly have no idea what this is about. just adding a data point. does the mercury offer specifics on why they picked who they picked? i really liked zimmerman.

No.  My guess is a lot of these were ole Ned Seaton getting misty eyed and overruling while kinder grunted and spat in his spit cup while jelly and guggies looked at each other.

two more data points on mcgraw...

1)i was an usher at a wedding with him in 1999. we did a great job ushering. no complaints from anyone.
2)my friends and i invented the term yam. it stood for yards after mcgraw. he had a bad shoulder for a good part of his senior season and would just kind of half arm tackle/bounce off receivers/runners of the ball.

 - jon used to give me rides home after an accounting class.  probably the nicest guy in the whole wide world.
 - he also played the violin.

i like how everybody accepted that bishop was the best qb. we've had this discussion before and a lot of incredible dumbasses acted like he wasn't. live and learn i guess.

I'll never forget the 13 great seasons Barrett Brooks gave us on the o-line!
Free edge up to defensive starters when opponents held under 10.

Games: 2012 Texas is like, the 4th or 5th best game from the 2011-2012 run.

Best games 2011-12:
1. 12 @OU
2. 11 Baylor at home
3. 11 Texas A&M at home
4. 12 @ WVU
5. 11 @ UT
6. 12 UT at home.

its 6th just in those 2 years.

I can't argue with much of that at all.  They did a good job.

I completely agree with that 1998 NU win being the biggest win.  There is no doubt in my mind.  I wept for joy and pride at that game, and every person around me did the same.  I have never, ever, experienced anything like that at a sporting event before or after.  I'll remember that for the rest of my days.

I enjoyed that game because of not only the game, but the entire season and week leading up to it.  The entire season was geared towards beating NU - we dngaf about basically anyone else.

UT game that year was huge

Guys I just looked it up. Arthur Brown was Big XII defensive player of the year in 2012, 2011 defensive newcomer of the year. Also he destroyed RGIII

The anticipation of the 98 Nebraska game started in the second half of the 97 Nebraska game when Bish was prowling the sidelines like a maniac yelling at people because it was like the first ever time he lost

He wrote "never 2" on his wrist wraps because he insisted on not losing again.
