I find the best way to lose weight to drink a lot of ice water.  I bet you can lose about 2 pounds a week if you drink an extra liter of ice water a day.  Also don't forget to start each day with a cup of black coffee no sugar.  In fact I have been off processed sugar for about 6 months now and I have probably never felt better in my life.
If the only change you would make in your diet is drinking an extra liter of ice water a day, you would not lose 2 lbs.  You wouldn't lose anything.  Sorry to burst your bubble.
First off, ice water is a negative calorie food, so simply by ingesting extra ice water you would lose some weight, but the impact is increased by making you feel full and therefore eat less.  By replacing a liter of food with water you save a tremendous amount of calories.  Using artificial powders and chemicals to lose weight is a no-win situation.  Chemicals got us where we are now, only clean natural products can cleanse you of those toxins.

1. Water is 0 calories. It's not negative calories.  By ingesting ice water, you may burn 2-5 calories burning it.  Considering it takes approx a 3500 caloric deficit to burn a pound of fat, that is a lot of ice water you will need to drink.
2. By replacing food with water, you are creating a caloric deficit.  It has nothing to do with the water itself.  If I replaced a meal with nothing, i'd lose weight.
3. Who said anything about using artificial powders and chemicals to lose weight? What toxins? What the shazbot! are you talking about?

the big reason that water is good is that the human body is not very smart and can often mistakes dehydration for hunger and then a person goes and eats. just stay hydrated and drink water throughout the day. as chingon pointed out, the whole negative calorie thing is pretty silly.

i also drink room temp water instead of ice water because i like it better. someone tried to tell me a few days ago that they were burning more calories by drinking cold water because of the fact that the body would then have to warm the ice water up to match body temp. i stood up and did one jumping jack and told her that it was now equal.
It you are not trying to lose weight I would never recommend drinking cold water.  Room temperature water is best for maintaining health.  In fact you should NEVER drink water that has been chilled below 0 F or heated above 300 F.

Water at body temperature is 0 Calories.  Ice water is a negative calories because it takes net energy to consume. The water must be heated by your body and the energy to do that burns calories.  Celery is also a negative Calorie food because of all of the fiber.  I see you and others using "suppliements" to help get in shape.  All of these are unnatural and toxic.  Man was not designed to eat powders and chemicals.  The only true way to achieve healthy weight-loss is through natural pure means.  If you require assistance use teas and medicinal foods not something derived in a lab in a beaker.
Creatine is one of the few (if any) proven substances to assist in building muscle.  Not losing weight..in fact, the exact opposite.  Creatine is a naturally occurring substance so I don't see how this isn't natural or pure.  By all means continue being a dumbass, though.

The water thing, we covered this.  Same with celery.  You could do 1 pushup and burn more calories than eating a pound of celery or a gallon of water would.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Sorry to ruffle your feathers man.  I am just very sensitive to the constant barrage of chemical influences in our lives.  Creatine is a naturally occurring substance, but you are not proposing to eat food rich in creatine, you want people to take an artificially extracted chowder which is vastly different.  This lab created chowder is unnatural and is never found in nature.  You can eat a hunk of iron, but I think you would be better off eating iron rich foods myself.

Saul is completely right on this matter.  Basically the same thing as taking metamucil instead of eating a giant plate of celery.  Nothing wrong with supplementing naturally occurring substances.

IIRC, ice water also raises your basal metabolic rate (the amount of calories your body burns simply by living)

I'm an old shazbot! (35 years or older demographic) with poor lifestyle choices (no exercise, drinks, eats poorly, serial murder, etc).  Is it worthwhile to gain inspiration from this thread and pivot into healthy living, or should I accept my fate and stay the course?  This is a legitimate chance to make a difference in someone else's life.

Having a hard time seeing what makes these poor lifestyle choices...  :dunno:
