I like the idea of paleo, just not the fact that cross fitters think it's the only diet available and how they're all obsessed with it.

For the past two months I've only had carbs during one meal a day and lost 20 pounds. I've heavily conditioned 3 days a week so that helps the process. But carb limited diets are definitely the way to go.

the problem with not eating carbs is that they are delicious.

And cheap. It's not very fun. Most days I only have 2 total meals.

paleo is for dumb asses. there is a reason cavemen aren't around anymore.

More in likely because of predator mauling and lack of medication more than diet.

I'm sure a bunch of us are red meat eaters and have no problem with triglycerides (cholesterol is an over blown factor) or heart problems to speak of.

Just the other day a grain scientist on NPR said that its not biologically necessary to eat grains which in turn means heavy carbs.

I'd look into it or even try it yourself before throwing "dumbasses" around.
lol dumb ass

Crossfit and the paleo diet are pretty much connected in people's minds nation wide. It's on the crossfit website, for God's sake.

Do not eat anything made with ‘flour’.
No bread, no pasta, no cereal, no crackers, no cookies, no donuts or danishes. Period. This is your most important step.
Flour is ground-up seeds. What eats seeds? Birds and rodents. If it’s poisonous to humans until we grind it into chowder and cook it, and it causes mineral deficiencies and birth defects unless we add vitamins, it’s not food. Crossfit needs to disappear. I'm not sure who is/was worse for the strength and fitness community, Greg Glassman or Joe Weider. Woof.

do you guys even lift bros?

and crossfit is just like any other exercise program. I love it and I love a lot of the people that do it. I don't agree with everything connected with it or the cult like blindly follow everything crossfit says type of people. And a lot of the exercises and movements should not be done at the high rates and weight for time.  If you have a good person to lead the gym who knows what they are doing it is great.
if you are competitive at all you will really love it. I love being able to workout with my brothers 3-5 times a week and talk crap when I kick their ass

You can say doing anything for time is crossfit. its dumb. I just had sex for time.. boom crossfit.

but there are certain movements I believe shouldn't be done example deadlifts, just stupid and I'd say 90% of the injuries come from that and people not having good form(also the good coach and smaller class size helps with this issue)

Weight loss/keeping weight off isn't astro physics,  Excluding people with thyroid problem or whatever.
