so this week was kind of tough: son was sick, sat around a lot.  Tonight think I'm going to hit the gym and do some serious cardio, knock out some podcasts or maybe turntable while I catch up on a couple weeks of the economist.

I'm pretty cut right now. My lifestyle is really catering to my sculpture of a body. Sleep in (miss breakfast), eat lunch (eaten lots of Chinese, Mexican, & BK of late), workout after work, & binge drink my dinner at night. I look fantastic these days you guys!

Pro Tip for losing weight-

Get a dog and take it for walks/runs everyday, its a great motivator.

Say you get home from work on a tuesday night and all you want to do is pound some brews and watch some cat bball. Then you look over at your precious 6 month old pup and those beady little eyes just scream out at you "No walk today? :( Okay i guess, your the boss, I'll just go chew up some shoes in the corner"

Also you're likely to live longer because you won't need a gun to protect this house now that you've got a dog that loves the crap out of you.

i had been eating pretty shitty even on non-weekends so this week i started using the myfitnesspal app and i like it. helps you keep track of stuff and realize how much your calories add up during the day. would recommend for fat people.

I try to eat Paleo style which is heavy fat, moderate protein, and limited carbs and I can drop 5-6 pounds easily in a week with minimal exercise.

I know your thinking Atkins, but you can give yourself up to about 100 grams of carbs of a day and still lose weight.

It's all about keeping insulin low, and eating fat to get the body burning fat.

Sounds crazy huh.

I've read two good books on it and they've been an eye opener.

Why we get fat and what to do about it - Gary Taubes. (Real sciencey)
The Primal Blueprint - Mark Sisson.

I will also recommend watching Fathead on Netflix too.

Anybody else heard of this, or had success with Paleo?

So cheesecake and eggs for breakfast works?  I've been eating that or cheesecake and spinach and blueberries for a month or so now and am still losing weight.

Yea Mark Sisson has great stuff, but its really more of a lifestyle than a diet.  Tim Ferris Four hour body might be more realistic for the average goemawer.

More in likely because of predator mauling and lack of medication more than diet.

I'm sure a bunch of us are red meat eaters and have no problem with triglycerides (cholesterol is an over blown factor) or heart problems to speak of.

Just the other day a grain scientist on NPR said that its not biologically necessary to eat grains which in turn means heavy carbs.

I'd look into it or even try it yourself before throwing "dumbasses" around.
