I mean the amount of tarmac reporting this offseason is going to be nuts.  People are going to be tracking so many planes that they'll get flagged by the NSA.

There's probably some merit to letting all the other schools fight it out over the above-the-line prospects, while KSU focuses on those who'd be happy with the KSU job and don't have any better options.  Get a jump start on the new era.

The guy after Bill will probably fail...  Maybe Venzy gets his HC experience somewhere and will be ready when we are looking again...of course Currie may not be here at that time either.

The guy after Bill will probably fail...

Really. Why?

In part, because there'll be low attendance at the games as a big chunk of KSU fans will mysteriously have had their hands burned (chopped? can't remember) off.

Burned off is correct.

Interesting that Pete Thamel (SI) and Feldman (Fox) who are two of the most connected national writers both mention LHC Bill Snyder rumors today. These guys generally dont throw just throw stuff out there. They havent mentioned anything the past few years when rumors popped up.

Thamel...

As for other jobs, the fate of LHC Bill Snyder is in question at Kansas State. Bowl eligibility is still attainable for the Wildcats (4–6, 1–6 Big 12) after a miraculous 38–35 comeback victory over Iowa State on Saturday. But Snyder is 76, an age in which most people consider retirement, not working 16 hours days to compete with the likes of Oklahoma and Baylor.

Feldman...

10. LHC Bill Snyder, Kansas State: Is this the year The Wizard walks away for good? We’re hearing there’s a good chance of that. His team is just 1-6 in the Big 12. We’re told he’d love for his son Sean, a K-State assistant, to get the job, but his AD probably won’t go for that. Dana Dimel, the ’Cats OC who did a good job as the Wyoming head coach a decade ago, also is in play. Then again, last time Snyder walked away, he didn’t have much of a say in picking his successor and Ron Prince was a disaster there.

nobody 1-10 is worth a crap on that list.  the only teams that rely heavily on special teams are ones that have to

maybe you haven't been paying attention but truly legit teams get it done on offense/defense

there's a reason why the football world refers to them as special teams

@bws...

Feldman has covered enough of our games on the sideline, and he's connected enough, that he may know something. There are rumors outside of the KSU community that Bill is retiring, so, it's not a stretch that he's heard it.

Thamel is full of crap.  Don't read him.
