its thursday and i still have no rough ridin' clue about this game. someone tell me what to think

Here is what my intuition tells me:

Relatively low scoring affair with K-State's defense finally stepping up and both teams making an effort to rely more on the run game.  Big plays are the difference maker in the first half. Baker Mayfield extends some plays by avoiding sacks and hits a couple big passes.  OU 17, KSU 7 at the end of the first half.

In a fortunate twist of events, K-State actually comes out with its typical first half offense in half #2.  Bazooka Joe leads some sustained drives and Cats build momentum.  Pressure is turned on and Mayfield makes some inexplicable mistakes that the defense takes advantage of.  The game ends with a Bazooka Joe kneel down.

Final score: KSU 31, OU 27  :emawkid: :emawkid: :emawkid:
i hope your last two statements and the score prediction are correct.

Not expecting this to happen, but I'd sure take.

When Bob Stoops meets LHC Bill Snyder during pregame, make sure to have your camera ready. This will be the last time the two coach against each other. One of these longstanding pillars stands down at the end of the 2015 season.

I have no reason to think we can't hang with them, but doesn't Stoops have a ridiculous record after a loss (or even RRR games)? Would be a very good sign if our guys come out and get a W in this one.

Stoops has never lost back-to-back games as a head coach. 99-0, I believe.

You are incorrect. I know for a fact he lost back to back games in 2003.

I think it's supposed to be back to back conference games.  or regular season games.

If there is one good thing we have learned the last few weeks, it is that streaks are able to be broken.

I really hope we win, but I won't watch one second of this game. I'll probably check the score regularly using the K-State app though.

I can't be there this week nor can I watch. I'll record it to watch later but will listen on my drive.

As far as I can tell, this game is on ABC nationally.

K-State is 5-0 since my son started attending games around his birthday each year.

Including the field goal to beat TCU game, the 4OT game against ATM, and the let's not throw a single pass game against UT.

so it's usually dramatic, but the Cats get the win.

Who's stat is more powerful?

Last I saw said ABC / ESPN 2, which I think means everyone can watch it, but at least somewhere in the country there will be a different game on ABC (I suppose whichever one is on ESPN 2 for the rest of us).

Perhaps the real question is, how close does the game have to be to his birthday? If he's only gone the past 5 years then it must have drifted closer or further each year, right?

That's my best rebuttal. I guess I could check to see in various regions whether the game is on tvguide, but lazy.

I could go take a picture of my townie cable's on-screen guide, but you're now yard dog'd.
