If you're going to come out and chuck the ball around like that then you had better go out and recruiting some better receivers.   The most amazing thing is the fact that for two weeks in a row, they've built a lead and then wanted one of the weakest segments of the K-State team to carry the day in the second half and put the game away.   Absolutely amazing.

The multiple attempts at 50+ yard bombs down the sideline were laughable. We were literally just wasting a down and only a few seconds off the clock every time.

Well, I mean TCU was stacking the box and playing man. Typically Joe has been a better passer down the field than in short or mid range, so it makes sense. Obviously he was not on target last night, but even if he was our receivers couldn't separate from their corners.

I really didn't think having a weak receiving corps would hurt this bad, but it is definitely cost us two games now. We can all speculate as to whether we would have been more successful just running more, but it is unknown whether more conservative calls would have resulted in wins.

I have a very lfiq but if for some reason I had to take over as the offensive coordinator in the second half I'd have said, "Uh, just keep running the ball," and that would've been 100x better than whatever our highly-paid, vastly experienced, very very hfiq coaches said. And that's what I can't wrap my mind around.

forced 2 turnovers
forced 1 field goal
Gave up 6 TDs
Gave up 3 of those on big plays

The success of the defense was closely related to the success of the offense:

The first half was 3 scoring posessions (1 FG) and 3 non-scoring possessions for TCU
The first half TOP/Points: 
1st Q
KSU  10:38  /  7
TCU  4:22  /   14

2nd Q
KSU  12:09  / 28
TCU  2:51  /   3

The 3rd quarter was an absolute disaster and it was where the game was lost.  There were other bad plays/decisions later
(Deante Burton's awful drop on a key 3rd down conversion driving with the lead with less than 7 minutes left in the game was a disaster)
(The defense giving up the long run to Boykin/AND the 2pt conversion for TCU to get the 3 point lead)

But all of those decisions were after we had completely melted down.  That 3rd quarter was awful play calling and game management and it cost us the win.

Cook is clearly still hurt, he barely played at receiver. He didn't have a stinger and doesn't have a broken collarbone. He likely had a dislocation and still has some discomfort/swelling/loss of range of motion.

Also once TCU let Boykin loose, we were mumped. Ran all over us.
